He is my best friend

but doesn't want to be

just the one

He says he loves me

and had never loved one.

with broken heart

and tears in his swollen eyes

he says he needs me

and had never felt

such an urge for someone

i asked him to give me sometime

but was still unable to decide

what to say and what to hide

what is true and what is right

with whom to share my difficulty

i was just about to think

something i recalled

and,suddenly my eyes blinked

He is my best friend

I want him to be happy

forever and for all

He says he is happy

when he is with me

then why tears

in his eyes do i see

He is my best friend

far away from sorrows
